Step Right Up For Julie's 50th Circus Birthday Party

To celebrate Julie's 50th birthday, we coordinated the circus to arrive in her own backyard! At the entrance of the home was a black-and-white sign that spelled out “Julie,” along with vintage clown cutouts, a whimsical carousel pony, and garlands of balloons in black, red, and gold. 

The fare – prepared by Shaffer – was as delicious as it was beautiful! “Smoking Sliders” short-rib sandwiches served under smoking glass cloche, grilled-cheese sandwiches fanned like a deck of cards and iron branded with card suits, black sesame grissini wands served on active dry ice, and “Siegfried + Roy's Tiger Bite,” a vegan beet taco served on a black-and-white tiger-print tray were just some of the choices for dinner. The presentation was incredible and had partygoers in awe. 

Not only was the food remarkable, but so was the entertainment. We provided our photo booth with a sparkling backdrop, DJ Herick Hell served as deejay for the evening, fun tarot card readings were available thanks to Goddess Hangs, and a magician from Comedy Machine wowed guests with old and new magic tricks. 

Sweet Deetails crafted a scrumptious confection and when it was presented to the birthday girl, everyone stopped to chime in and sing “Happy Birthday.” Additional sweet treats of churros, cotton candy, and popcorn from Love Swirls were also offered to attendees to help keep them energized for a night of dancing.

Punchy banners, circus posters, and black-and-white vintage cutouts of the strong man and the like were nestled around the outdoor area, whilst coffee tables were adorned with tea lights and miniature circus animals to help round out the theme. We made sure everyone was cozy as the night grew chillier with velvet red couches, tall heat lamps, and delectable cocktails served in customized cups in honor of Julie. Happy birthday! We hope it was the best birthday yet!
