The Gymshark Garden by Whitney Simmons

Last year, we crafted The Gymshark Retreat by Whitney Simmons, which was an amazing, wow-worthy event held in Malibu. This year, to celebrate Whitney Simmon’s second collection release, we created The Gymshark Garden in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. We settled on Rolling Greens on Mateo, as the vintage-chic home-and-garden space fit nicely with the theme. We were excited to concentrate on coordination and fabrication, so we began to hire our favorite event professionals, including Tim Chung Consulting for security, Create Event Design for furniture, and Jackson Shrub for garden furniture. We also joined partners with favorite brands and set up areas to highlight these products as well: Pressed Juicery, Alani, QUAY, Sunday II Sunday, and FaceGym.

The morning of the soiree, it was raining horribly and we prepared to pivot some of the original plans, but thankfully the storm passed and the gloomy day really made all the photos from EDLT Photo look amazing. Peony Secret designed beautiful arrangements of florals that appeared to be “growing” from the ground, along with additional greenery to adorn the signage at the entrance. The pops of color in the arrangements matched the new hues from the GymShark collection! Reusable, branded tote bags were offered to attendees, so they could easily add and carry their collection pieces of choice.

Guests noshed on Provami Pizza, took part in yoga using GymShark-branded mats from Yogaphotomats, and milled about taking photos where we arranged for cute photo moments, such as mirrors with uplifting messages affixed to them, surrounded by fresh verdure and blooms. There was even more gorgeous scenery to enjoy, as the entire alfresco space is filled with foliage and flowers. Miniature potted plants were gifted to guests as well to remember the special occasion. The entire fete felt very uplifting and refreshing! Before leaving, attendees used typewriters from Poetry Society of Los Angeles to write out short notes of affirmation to end their visit with an extra-positive vibe.
